Dr. Maurice Shihadi has been a dedicated full-time instructor in the Business and Hospitality Department at Montgomery College, Rockville, for the past nine years, culminating a distinguished 37-year career in education. His teaching experience spans all levels, from elementary to graduate school.

Dr. Shihadi holds an Associate of Arts degree from Montgomery College, a Bachelor of Science degree from Towson University, a Master of Arts degree in Occupational Studies from California State University, Long Beach (including a K-12 California Teaching Credential), a Doctorate in Organizational Leadership from Pepperdine University, and an MBA with a Marketing Graduate Certificate from the University of Phoenix.

At Montgomery College, Dr. Shihadi has taught courses in Business, Business Statistics, Management, and Marketing. He has also served as College Chair for both the graduate and undergraduate schools at the Maryland Campus of the University of Phoenix for ten years, and as interim director. Additionally, he has held the position of College Chair at Montgomery College.

Dr. Shihadi has contributed significantly to the college community through his service on the President’s Advisory Committee on Equity and Inclusion (PACEI) and the affinity group Men Empowering Men. He is also an active member of the Academic Regulations Committee.

In his role as Vice President of the American Association of University Professors at the Montgomery College Rockville campus, Dr. Shihadi is known for his service-oriented approach, approachability, and unwavering support for faculty concerns.
